Lewis Weber, PhD, CGP

Dr. Weber is a licensed clinical social worker who has been working in the mental health field since 1969. He has worked in both in-patient and out-patient settings, and has held faculty positions at the UVA Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology departments and at the UVA Counseling Center. He has a strong background in psychodynamic and long-term psychotherapy, and special expertise in group therapy, having run a minimum of three groups/week over the past thirty years. He has a specialty in working with well functioning adults who come from dysfunctional childhoods. He also specializes in loss and grief (separation, divorce and death). Dr. Weber acts as facilitator for Dr. Lewis Weber & Associates both administratively and clinically, and provides consultation and treatment planning for individuals starting therapy.
