Amy Kale Fraites, PhD LPC

Dr. Fraites earned her PhD in Counseling from the University of North Texas, where she went on to be an adjunct professor and assistant director at the Center for Play Therapy, the largest research and training center for Play Therapy in the U.S. She is a registered Play Therapist and supervisor, specializing in working with children developmentally aged 2½ thru 11 years and their parents. She works with children individually and in small groups, using an intensive consultation model with the parents of the children in therapy. Dr. Fraites also does Filial Therapy training with parents, using a ten-week program of training parents in play therapy skills which they can use with their children in special play times, thereby becoming a therapeutic agent in their child's life.
